Adele was forced to cancel her remaining tour and promotional appearances after undergoing vocal cord surgery last November.

“Adele underwent vocal cord microsurgery by Dr. Steven Zeitels to stop recurrent vocal cord hemorrhage (bleeding) from a benign polyp. This condition is typically the result of unstable blood vessels in the vocal cord that can rupture. Based on the advice of her doctor and voice therapist in the United Kingdom, Adele came to Boston to consult and undergo corrective voice surgery with Dr. Zeitels, the Director of the Massachusetts General Hospital Voice Center. … Dr. Zeitels expects Adele to make a full recovery from her laser microsurgery,” Massachusetts General Hospital said in statement shortly after Adele’s surgery. Recovery from the surgery is expected to range from 1-3 months.

“Adele will be at the Grammys in Los Angeles on February 12 at the Staples Center,” a source close to the singer tells RadarOnline.com. “She’s thrilled to be nominated, but it’s been a hard time for her because of the surgery. She has begun talking more, with her doctor’s permission. Adele’s best friend in recent weeks has been warm compresses around her neck to help the healing process of her vocal chords. Producers of the Grammys would love to have Adele perform, and open the show, but she isn’t able to give them an answer yet. She won’t be able to give them an answer until the beginning of February, and they completely understand.”

Meanwhile, as RadarOnline.com previously reported, the songstress is getting red carpet ready, and has already lost 25 pounds.

“She’s finally caved to weight pressure,” a source told Star magazine. “Adele always swore up and down that she was comfortable in her own skin, but she’s only human. Doctors suggested that less junk food and more exercise would be the all-around right thing for her health, her stamina, even her vocal range.”

Lady Antebellum’sHillary Scott is a married woman. Her rep tells Us Weekly she andChris Tyrell wed Saturday just before sunset in upstate New York surrounded by family and close friends.

The bride wore a custom Vera Wang strapless mermaid dress with abstract all-over lace underlay, layered tulle skirt with horsehair banding and hand-cut corded lace applique with hand-applied crystal and pearl beading. She complemented the gown with a mantilla veil with hand-cut chantilly lace applique. The groom donned a gray Ermenegildo Zegna suit.

Scott, 25, posted a video on her band’s site Sunday to announce the good news. “We got married! We just wanted you to hear it from us first,” Scott gushed after showing off her wedding ring. “We love you. We’re so excited to be starting our life together, and we just had to let you in on the excitement.”

Tyrell the lead drummer of country music trio Love and Theft, first met the “Run to You” singer when they each served as opening acts on Tim McGraw’s Southern Voice Tour in 2010.

Over the Fourth of July weekend, Tyrell popped the question to Scott while the two were enjoying a day at the lake in Tennessee.

Jennifer Lopez would be open to helping her former “In Living Color” boss, Keenen Ivory Wayans, with the upcoming return of the sketch comedy, set to happen on FOX this spring.

“It’s what?” Jennifer said, when AccessHollywood.com asked her if she’d want to be a part of the show, which returns with an updated version of the sketch comedy, in two half-hour specials in Spring 2012.

Kate Gosselin has a new gig! The mom of eight has signed up to host a cruise this summer.

“Set Sail with Kate” blasts the new website promoting the trip, which will take place August 12 -19 on Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas.

For the pleasure of cruising with the mom of eight, passengers will shell out between $1,900 and $3.175 per person, double occupancy. They’ll get to meet Kate at a “welcome cocktail party,” attend a Q & A session with her, have a photo op, and even “learn a new craft from the professional herself.”

The trip starts and ends in Ft. Lauderdale, with stops in Jamaica, Cozumel and Haiti. Haiti? Yes, the poorest nation in the Western world has a cruise ship port-of-call in the city of Labadee. Oh, and August is hurricane season in the Caribbean.

Katy Perry would like her parents to, well, shut up!

The singer, who was hit with a divorce filing from Russell Brand on December 31, tweeted as much late Saturday.

“NO ONE speaks for me. Not a blog, magazine, “close source” or my family,” Katy wrote.

The blast may have been in response to her evangelical Christian parents sermonizing about how their daughter’s divorce was bringing the faithful in to hear them speak at church.

As RadarOnline.com reported, Keith and Mary Hudson appeared at an Ohio church last week where he ranted against Jews and she almost gleefully said that “Katy trending on the Internet” was bringing more people to see them.
